Dr. Lingyun Yu is an Associate Professor in the School of Advanced Technology at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where she leads the Interactive Visual Technologies Research Group. Her research focuses on immersive visualization, spatial interaction, and scientific data visualization. She has published over 100 research papers, including more than 30 in top-tier journals and conferences in visualization, HCI, and XR. As PI, she has been awarded both an NSFC Young Scientist Project and an NSFC General Program. Her work has received multiple honors, including a Top Cited Article Award in Computer Graphics Forum, the Best Paper Award at CHI (the leading conference in HCI), a Best Paper Honorable Mention and SciVis Test of Time Award at IEEE VIS (the leading conference for data visualization), marking the first time a researcher from China has received this prestigious recognition.
